For the healthy mix, we are going use lots of healthy pulses like Ragi, Bajra, Barley, Wheat, Red rice, sago, and much more. To make salted porridge, take 1 tbsp of the sathu maavu, 1/4 tsp of salt and mix with 1 cup of room temperature water. Place it on the stove and cook until it thickens. We can get store bought Healthy mix that comes in very popular brands. But the popular brands also sell the mix of pulses and nuts which we can take and make the powder at home. You can also dry it in the sun also but it is preferable to dry roast the ingredients. You can cook and make porridge or dosa or laddu etc.

Take 1 tbsp of the sathu maavu, mix with 1 cup of water and cook like before. Once it starts thickening, add the prepared jaggery syrup and switch off. This sathu maavu can be prepared as a porridge and given safely to babies as young as 6 months. Sick people can have this nutritious kanji while recovering. People on diet can have this for breakfast as the porridge keeps your full for a long time.

Today I am going to share with you my homemade health mix powder or kanji maavu. Though I prepare a variety of breakfast for my family, my breakfast is always porridge. I made this health mix with organic ingredients bought from health store. This health mix powder or energy mix powder is very flavorful, inexpensive when prepared at home and also versatile. Versatile in the sense, you can make laddus, rotis, dosas with this health mix which I will be sharing with you all soon.
It is an oval bread made from moist fermented dough and is really crispy and delicious.
